Hey DH--we were at a bunch of Bay Area shows together...just realized that (I thought you were in LA only; did you drive up? Any in 75?).

Yes I drove up from LA in 74. A spontaneous, desperate attempt by my friends and me to see them one more time before they quit the biz. June 77 was part of a grand tour of the West I was taking with my bike. And in 78-79, I was actually living in Palo Alto and Oakland. You know, the only thing I've ever won in my life was the Bill Graham lottery for the closing of Winterland. Who would have thunk?

I can't remember if I was even aware of the 75 shows at the time. In my mind, the band was dead. So to speak. You were fortunate to see those.
